SCHR: Legal and Advocacy Resources

Attorneys at the Southern Center for Human Rights represent individuals facing the death penalty, as well as prisoners in class-action lawsuits that challenge unconstitutional treatment in prisons and jails. However, due to our limited resources, we are not able to take all the cases we hear about. Generally, our cases are limited to Georgia and Alabama. If you are looking for assistance about a prison-related matter in another state, please see the lists below for organizations in your state that may be able to assist you. If you are looking for assistance with a death penalty case in another state, contact Christopher Adams at cadams@schr.org and he can refer you to the appropriate organization in your state.
